Fin ‘N’ Feather Sportsman’s Club is again opening up their infamous haunted woods to the public this Halloween. Since it has been widely known that the deep woods of the club are haunted, it seems only natural that we would allow the public to see firsthand what many have been talking about for all of these years.
Come and see for yourself on one of the four Friday and Saturday nights before Halloween. The dates are October 7th & 8th, October 14th & 15th, October 21st & 22nd and October 28th & 29th from 7 PM to 11 PM. Admission is $15 for adults, brave children 6 and under are $8 and groups of 8 or more can get special pricing by talking to Butch (262-894-7137). The woods are open even if we are cursed with dark black clouds and rain, but if we get a cruel blast of lightning you are forbidden to go any further for 30 minutes longer.
Each year we make a number of changes to the woods. Gone are a few of the older attractions like the 40 foot pirate ship and haunted house, but rest assured they are replaced with even bigger adventures that you will need to see for yourself. Some of the members report that the ghosts are still streaking through the trees and glowing creatures speeding past your feet.
The witches have built a house and now live in the woods full time. The path goes right past their house so all can see their boiling caldron as they brew potions and cast their wicked spells. Take care not to be the object of their curse or be too close as a deathly fate consumes some innocent soul.
There is plenty of parking close to the entrance of the forest. The clubhouse will be opened and warm in case it gets cold outside. This year, the clubhouse is smoke free. The members will be serving beverages, hot chocolate, popcorn, snacks and homemade baked goods so grab some friends and head on over. We will scare the yell out of you!
